It was not too long ago that Kanye West decided to move on from Nike to Adidas and certainly the change got West a good share of money. It was for his YEEZY line of clothing, accessories and, of course, sneakers. The best of his line of sneakers included YEEZY 750 Boost and YEEZY 350 Boost sneakers and they had easily become the massive retail hits, and were sold out globally in no time.
Where one would certainly think level of success would satisfy the rapper, we hear the rumours that Kanye might just switch over from Adidas to Vans now. His contract with Adidas might end up soon and Vans will be collaborating for his brand YEEZY.
‘Sneakers Addict’ advocate that discussions between West and the California brand have been underway for some time already, and the recent sightings of Kanye also point to his love for the brand Vans. Also, he recently recorded in his latest track, “No More Parties in LA,” “Some days I’m in my Yeezys/some days I’m in my Vans,” expressing his love for the brand that carried over into this picture of himself with Kendrick Lamar that Kanye posted on Twitter, showing him wearing a pair of Vans Caballero.
Skate Culture that has now been a hit in the mainstream fashion word in the last few seasons, will now be making a big push into the broader fashion market and that is one move to keep your eyes glued on. But still, Kanye West moving on from Adidas to Vans because of his fondness for the brand is certainly an unexpected move.
No matter what happens, fashion enthusiasts are certainly hoping to see new and improved YEEZY line of sneakers in collaboration with Vans. Kanye after all, knows his style too well.
