Balmain continues to be a staple in fashion with this new spring and summer men’s collection for 2015. The lookbook for this collection was shot by Andres Larsson and featured model Dudley O’Shaughnessy. Since taking the helm of the men’s department the young great Olivier Rousteing has taken the brand to new heights. This is the first time that a French fashion house has let a multiracial black man be Creative Director. He is not only a black man but was only 25 years old when he took on the Creative Director title.
Out Magazine said this about the designer “His creations blur the boundaries between haute couture and ready-to-wear, with an architectural approach to tailoring and a flair for Baroque embellishment that few of his peers can rival.” This new collection speaks to that quote.
This new collection includes black and white motif that has been huge this year, but also includes the bright colors of the spring and summer. The collection also includes leather which has taken over these last few years along with other fabrics.
I tried my best to pick my favorite shots from the shoot and I could not because I loved all of them. Check out all the pictures below and tell me whats your favorite. Stay tuned for updates on when this collection hits stores.
